It is also furniture. It stays where you put it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A portable runs off a cell, heats a smaller chamber, and goes in a pocket. The vapour is usually a step behind a good desktop, and the session is shorter, but it is available anywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The load-shedding question<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is where the standard advice from overseas reviews stops applying. Against that, a desktop has no battery to degrade, so its useful life is often far longer \u2014 the failure mode of a portable is usually the cell, and a desktop does not have one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to actually decide<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer three questions honestly. Do you use it mostly alone or with people? Is your power reliable, or is a schedule part of your week? And do you need it away from home at all? Two out of three pointing the same way is your answer; if they do not, buy the portable first, because it is the one that still works in every scenario.
